With the goal of reaching a large number of smartphone users, a new Aadhaar has been released by The Unique Identification Authority of India. The app has an array of Aadhaar services and an individual section for the Aadhaar holder that can take its Aadhaar information as a soft copy instead of carrying a physical copy at all times.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has
launched a new version of the MAadhaar App for Android and IOS platforms.
According to UIDAI, users can delete the old version of this
app and install the new version. Through this new app, users can perform tasks
like Aadhaar card download, Offline E-KYC, QR code scanner, Address Update,
E-mail verification. The app will protect users’ data more than ever. It has
support for your languages, it includes Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Telugu, Tamil,
Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, Assamese, etc. Through this app,

How to Use the New App
To use this app, One must first download the latest version
from Google Play Store for Android and Apple App Store for IOS. After that open
the app. Here your three permission will be asked. First for accessing media
files, second for recording photos and videos and third for location. Allow

- After this, a screen of language will appear on M-Aadhaar. From here you can choose your language. Now you have to register your Aadhaar.

- Online services on Aadhaar mobile: mAadhaar users can avail of the selected services for seeking Aadhaar or related assistance for themselves as well as from any other resident. Functionalities are broadly grouped into.

- Aadhaar locking: Aadhaar holders can lock their UID / Aadhaar number at any time they wish.
- Secures biometric authentication by locking biometrics data. Once the resident enables the biometric locking system, their biometric remains locked until the base holder has chosen to unlock it (which is temporary) or to disable the locking system.
- TimeTOTP generation: A time-based one-time password is an automatically generated temporary password that can be used instead of an SMS based OTP.
