Realme X2 Vs Vivo V17: Which is better?

Realme has launched Realme X2 few days back in the budget segment and also Vivo launched their upgraded version of Vivo V17 in slightly higher price than Realme X2. Is ViVo V17 better for that price than the Realme X2 or does Realme X2 beats Vivo V17 even though it is priced lower than ViVo V17. Both phone's have many Features to offer the consumers. Let's see which phone should you buy among these two, whether Realme X2 or Vivo V17. Let's start the Comparison here.

Design and build quality

Realme X2 has diamension of 158.7×75.2×8.6 mm and weights about 182 gram while Vivo V17 has a dimension of 159×74.2×8.5 mm and weights about 176 gram, So when it comes to weight distribution both the devices have done a great job and coming to one hand usage both are comfortable for one hand usage. Realme X2 and Vivo V17 has glass to both it's front and back which is protected by gorilla glass 5. Both the phone has support for dual sim with dedicated micro SD card slot. Both the VivoV17 and  Realme X2 has indisplay fingerprint scanner which is fast and accurate.

When it comes to speakers both has a single firing loud speaker but Realme has dolby support so it produce better sound quality. Both the phone has the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Realme and Vivo provides us a USB Type C port. Both phones have dual camera to the back but the placement of camera sensor is done stylishly in Vivo V17. Realme X2 is available in three colours ( Pearl white, Pearl blue, Avacado green) while Vivo V17 is only available in two colour's ( Glacier Ice, Midnight ocean ). Design and build quality wise there is nothing to differentiate between the devices. It's really comes up to you guys on which design you want. So I am leaving this round for you guys to choose.

2.Display

Realme X2 has a 6.4 inch super amoled display while Vivo V17 has a 6.44 inch super amoled display. ViVo V17 provide's a screen to body ratio of 84.9% where as the Realme X2 provides a screen to body ratio of 84.3%.  The pixel per inch density of Realme X2 is 403 while it is 409 in ViVo V17. Both the phone's have Amoled display so in media conseption both performs similar. Colour reproduction is also similar in both the devices. Viewing angles and visibility under sunlight is great in both these handset. So display round it's an tie between these two.

3. Performance

Realme is powered by the Snapdragon 730 G which is a 8nm Chipset,the G here stands for gaming while Vivo V17 is Powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset which is a 11nm chip. Realme has a Adreno 618 gpu where as Redmi has Adreno 612 Gpu. Performance is where Realme just demolishes Vivo V17. The Snapdragon 730 G give us performance which we can compare with flagship chip. While Vivo V17 has a budget chip Snapdragon 675 which in not even close to 730 G. So performance wise Realme X2 wins.

4.Camera

Realme X2 has a 64MP f/1.8 primary sensor while Vivo V17 has a 48MP f/1.8 primary sensor. Rest of the sensors are same in both these devices they are 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens and a 2MP f/2.4 depth and dedicated macro lens. The images shot in Realme X2 is Better and yes the 64MP camera makes difference in the images shot with Realme X2. Due to the 64MP Realme X2 takes better Low light photo's. The ultrawide camera performs similarly in both these devices. The potrait mode on Realme X2 perform's better compared to Vivo V17. In video recording Realme could shoot at 4k with 30 fps support while Vivo V17 could only shoot at 1080p at 30 fps. Coming to the front camera both have 32MP f/2.0 primary sensor. Both takes similar photos baring the difference in image processing. Both the phone's shoot video at 1080 p in 30 fps. So camera round goes to Realme X2 due to better back cam.

5. Battery

Realme has 4000 mAh battery which would last for 1 day easily and the phone provided me a screen on time of 6 hrs while Vivo V17 has 4500 mAh battery and it would last for around one and a half day easily. The phone also provided me a screen on time of 6 and a half hours. But when it comes to charging Realme X2 provides a 30W fast charger inside the box while Vivo only gives a 18W fast charger. So Battery round too Realme X2 wins due to fast charging capability.

6.Software

Both the phone's run Android 9 out of the box under custom skin. Realme has colour is while Vivo has fun touch Os. Both the os have it's own pro's and Con's. So it's really up to Users to choose which software to go with. So software round I am leaving it for you guys to choose.

CONCLUSION

Undoubtedly Realme X2 is the better Value for money providing smartphone. ViVo V17 doesn't even come close to Realme X2. We should also consider the fact that Realme cost 6000 less Compared to Vivo V17. So undoubtedly we should buy Realme X2 between these two devices.
